More than 100 teachers and staff of Dongbuk High School visited MITIS last February 12, 2011. They were led by their school principal, Mr. Rhee Sung Youl, who was joined by MITIS Founding Director, Mr. Hyock Chu Kwon in signing the document of partnership between the two schools in simple yet fitting ceremony.
Prior to the signing ceremony the visitors were treated to a buffet lunch and then to a tour of the school’s facilities. They were also given a video and powerpoint presentations about the major features of MITIS education by Mr. Hyock Chu Kwon and Mr. Andre Kwon.
MITIS is now an official partner institute of Dongbuk Middle School and Dongbuk High School both located at Gangdong-gu, Seoul Metropolitan, Korea. The partnership agreement with Dongbuk Middle School was signed when Mr. Hyock Chu Kwon visited the school on October 7, 2010 The agreements signaled the start of cooperation for the development of the schools and international exchange of education and culture.
The visitors were met by top MITIS administrators headed by Dr. Bienvenido V. Santos, President and Principal, who gave the welcome remarks and Mr. Andre Kwon, Assistant Director. With them were Mr. Elmo Purpura, Vice Principal; Mr. Marciano Rebollos, Administrative and Liaison Officer; Ms. Charlene Salvador, Registrar and Admissions Officer; and Ms. Josephine Camacho, Finance Officer; and the different subject area coordinators and program officers.
